I spoke with Bob Sauter and it's appearing that Rebekah's services will not be this weekend but likely sometime next week. The autopsy report did not indicate any obvious causes of death. It will be 3-6 weeks before testing results come back with any possible indicators.
Rebekah was the real thing. She was a true Christian in every way. Her family was her life - she once said of rolling coin at Oregon Armored that she could only work while her kids were asleep, otherwise she missed them too much. Even though they had only been in San Francisco one day, on Sunday, she commented about how much she missed her 'children.' She accomplished so much and was always getting things done for others - sending birthday cards, thank you cards, care packages, baking her famous cookies, or visiting anyone who needed company.
For my own family, Rebekah acted selflessly whenever she was in Utah. She was always good to clean out the fridge and inventory what we had acquired a lot of - one time bottles of mayo and another time pickles. If anyone ever wanted something, she was quick to get up and offer it. The most poignant act of love and service she did for us was helping care for our grandpa who suffered from dimentia. She always treated him with love and gentleness when helping get him into bed or when we would visit him and she never complained. We love the Sauters and Vances and want them to know our prayers are with them.
